For Decks, Stairs, and Patios Across the Fraser Valley

Glass Railings
Frameless and framed systems, residential and commercial — same commercial-grade hardware whether the install is on a backyard deck or a restaurant patio.
Keep the view open, inside and out
Where glass railings make sense
If you’re planning a deck rebuild, an interior staircase or landing, a pool surround, or a commercial patio enclosure, you’re in the right place. Here’s what we install, where, and how to get a quote.
Inside
Stairwells and landings. Mezzanines and open second floors. Loft edges. Anywhere a solid railing would close down the space and a glass one keeps it open.
Outside
Decks, balconies, patios, and rooftops. Pool and spa surrounds (where code requires safety glazing). Stair entries and exterior landings. Restaurant and café patios. Anywhere the view past the railing is worth keeping.
The systems we install
Frameless, Top-Rail, & Channel Systems
Glass railing systems break down into a few common types. The right choice depends on your structure, your budget, and the look you’re after. We spec the system to your project — including code requirements for height and load.
Frameless with standoff hardware
Glass panels mounted to deck fascia or solid posts with stainless or aluminum standoff hardware. The cleanest, most minimal look — and the most “view-first” option.
Channel-mount (base shoe)
A continuous aluminum channel runs along the deck edge or stair rail; the glass slots into the channel. Strong, secure, and the most modern aesthetic when posts aren’t desired.
Top-rail systems
Glass panels with a horizontal aluminum or wood top rail. A traditional look that provides a comfortable grab surface, good for stairs and high-use exterior installs.
Post-mounted systems
Glass panels between aluminum or stainless posts, sometimes with intermediate clamps. The most economical option, and often the right call for longer runs.
Commercial-grade hardware, even at home
Why Your Backyard Deck Gets the Same Hardware as a Restaurant Patio
This is one of the places where the gap between Riverside and a typical residential glass shop is most visible.
Aluminum systems from Aluminex
The extrusions, channels, and post systems we use come from major Canadian aluminum suppliers — the same product class going into commercial railing installs across BC.
Hardware from CRL
Standoffs, clamps, and post hardware are CRL — a major North American glazing hardware brand whose products show up on commercial storefronts and office buildings, not just decks.
Tempered safety glass
Required by code for railings in BC, and the only kind we install. Sourced from major Canadian glass fabricators including Hartung Glass and PFG Glass.
The residential install gets the commercial spec
A glass railing on your backyard deck uses the same supply chain that goes into a restaurant patio. It’s why the work holds up the way it does.
our railing work
Why Local Builders Bring Their Railing Glass to Us
Coordination, not handoff
We work directly with deck builders, contractors, and renovators across the valley — they handle the structure, we handle the glass, and the schedule lines up.
Custom-fit, not kit panels
Decks aren’t built to glass-panel-friendly dimensions. We measure for the deck you actually have and cut the glass to fit — no creative spacing, no awkward gaps.
Interior and exterior under one shop
Doing a stair railing inside and a deck railing outside on the same project? Same shop, same quote, same warranty.

-
Yes. We install glass railings to current BC building code requirements, including height, load, and safety glazing specifications. All railing glass is tempered safety glass, as required by code in BC.
-
Frameless systems use standoff hardware mounted to deck fascia or posts — the cleanest, most minimal look. Channel-mount (base shoe) runs a continuous aluminum channel along the deck edge with the glass slotting in — modern and post-free. Post-mounted systems use glass panels between aluminum or stainless posts — the most economical option for longer runs. We'll spec the right system for your project based on structure, budget, and the look you're after.
-
We work directly with your deck builder. They handle the structure, we handle the glass, and we coordinate timing so the railing install fits the build schedule. Send us their contact information and we'll get in touch.
-
Yes. Pool and spa surrounds are one of the most common applications for glass railings — and where BC code requires safety glazing. We install pool deck railings using tempered safety glass and commercial-grade hardware.
-
BC building code sets railing height requirements based on the location — deck, stair, elevated surface — and the drop height below. We install to the current requirements for your specific application and confirm the spec during the site visit. [NEEDS CLIENT INPUT — review with client before publishing specific height claims that could go stale.]
-
Every railing install is backed by a workmanship warranty on the installation and manufacturer warranties on system components — glass, hardware, and aluminum. We go over the terms at the end of every install. [NEEDS CLIENT INPUT — confirm workmanship warranty length.]
-
Yes. If you're doing both on the same project, we quote them together and handle both installs — one shop, one schedule, one warranty.
-
Yes. If a railing panel has been damaged or broken, we can measure and replace the glass panel without replacing the full system. Send us a photo and we'll quote the replacement.
